Mini Vinnies

On Friday 4th October, four of our new Mini Vinnies represented us at the Mini Vinnies' Mass celebrated by Father Josh at Immaculate Heart Church. Mrs Tempest accompanied the pupils as they joined Mini Vinnies from the other local Catholic primary schools to celebrate together the start of the new school year.

Donations to the Hungry and Homeless

Frankie, Jack, Jamie, Sam and Ruby (Minnie Vinnies and School Council) went to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Hall, to take the food and clothing donations for the hungry and homeless. Our school managed to collect a whole host of useful items that were very gratefully received by Fr Gerard and David, a representative from St Jeanne Jugan Parish who assists with the Hungry and Homeless Project.

Thank you to all the pupils and families that contributed to this most worthy cause!

Mini Vinnies

On Thursday the 9th of November 2017, Frankie and Zuzia, from Year 6, visited Sacred Heart Catholic School to discuss ideas with other Mini Vinnies from other schools. We thought of ways to raise money for different charities such as St George's Crypt and the St Vincent de Paul Society. Some of the ideas we shared with each other were for a school sleepover and a school movie night. At the end of our meeting, we had juice and biscuits- yummy!

St. Urban's Got Talent

On Friday the 24th of November, we held the final of St. Urban's Got Talent. There were fourteen acts altogether and everybody had a great time! With so many acts, we could only have one winner but we all agreed, everyone who took part was fantastic!!  To judge, we had a couple of Mini Vinnies, members of the teaching staff and some pupils. The overall winner was Rosa from Y5 who has a great talent for singing -  well done Rosa. We raised £22.38 for St George's Crypt so a big thank you to everyone who donated money. We're sure St George's crypt will appreciate it.
