Under 9s League

16/11/22               Shadwell Primary School

Shadwell 1 :: 3 St Urban's

A great performance from the St Urban’s team saw them comfortable winners against Shadwell Primary. On a drizzly afternoon the spirits of the team could not be dampened as they showed great enthusiasm to overcome their opponents. The team were 2:0 up in the first five minutes thanks to a brace from Donny Pickup. Some resolute defending saw St Urban’s weather the Shadwell second half storm and win the match. Well done to all involved, for some their first time playing a competitive match of football.

Under 11s League

07/11/22               Roundhay Primary School

Roundhay 4 : 0 St Urban's

A very physical contest between two determined teams unfortunately saw St Urban’s lose to local rivals Roundhay Primary 4:0. The game was played in very muddy conditions but the pitch was not at fault for the goals conceded. A lack of concentration several times saw William Teggart have to be called into action to save St Urban’s blushes. Unfortunately, the difference in the match came down to Roundhay taking their chances in front of goal but St Urban’s not managing to. Onwards and upwards to the next league fixture.

Girls League

03/11/22               St Paul's Primary School

St Paul's 6 : 3 St Urban's

St Urban's Girls played out a wonderful end-to-end game of football that was closer than the scoreline may reflect. St Urban's found themselves on top for large parts of the match but just were not clinical in front of goal. The trailed at half-time 4:0. A great second half display saw them put the pressure back on St Paul's but it just wasn't enough. A fantastic match against our local rivals and for some their very first taste of competitive football.

Under 10s League

17/10/22               St Paul's Primary School

St Paul's 5 : 6 St Urban's

A fantastic game to kick off the Under 10s league campaign. As the Under 9s champions of Leeds there was a lot of positive feelings heading into the game. St Urban's soon found out that they wouldn't have things all there own way. A poor start and several lapses in concentration saw the team 3:2 down at half time.

The second half saw a much improved performance with many more shots to test the St Paul's keeper. A greater determination from St Urban's and a bit more resolute defending saw them turn the tie around a nd win 6:5.

A good three points to start off the new season and a hopefully a springboard to further success.
