Thursday

Today we are going to be creative with words and make our own autumn poems, thinking particularly about autumn leaves.

We are going to use our senses to think of words to describe autumn leaves.

What do they look like?

What sounds do they make?

What do they feel like?

First write as many descriptive words as you can - adjectives, adverbs and powerful verbs will help.

Next make them into your own poem, it can be a list poem, or you might want to do an acrostic of AUTUMN.

Remember poems don't have to rhyme!

Illustrate and decorate your poem.

You might want to write it in the shape of a leaf.
