Meanwood Valley - Big Local Count on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 May 2020

Meanwood Valley- Big Local Count

Are you looking for more ways to keep busy and help highlight the nature in Meanwood Valley?

Ranger David of Meanwood Valley wants families to participate in an online Bioblitz from your garden, balcony or from living room.

The Meanwood Valley- Big Local Count will take place on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd May and aims to help the rangers by you recording the different wildlife species you spot in your area.

All the information you provide will help the rangers better support species and habitats throughout Meanwood Valley.

All you have to do is spend 15 minutes to 1 hour recording any sightings of species, including your location and the conditions to further their understanding.

All the resources you will need are provided below, but you just need to register with Ranger David by emailing him, telling him you want to participate-  David.Preston@leeds.gov.uk

With all the wildlife being very active at the moment it would be a great opportunity to take part.
