Learning at Home

These pages are for those children who may not be able to come to school at the moment but are well enough to have a go at some of the activities we will be doing in class.

Thursday 1st October 2020

Today we are learning the phoneme "p".

******************************************************************************

Today we are learning the phoneme "t". We are thinking of words that begin with "t", but also thinking of words that might have a "t" at the end, such as pat or cot. When you have watched the video, have a look at the "t" page on the powerpoint, and sort the "a" and "t" words.

Geraldine the Giraffe learns /a/ sound

Once you have watched the video, practise writing the letter "a". Remember, as we write the letter we "go over the bridge, stop and go back like the s. This time when we go back, we go all the way round, up to the top, down and flick!" Have another practise at the "s" too! Also, look at the power point from Monday and on the "a" slide, sort out which words begin with an "a" and which with a "s".

Geraldine the Giraffe - /s/ HD

Monday 28th September. Today we will be looking exploring the phoneme "s". Watch Geraldine find some objects beginning with "s".

After you have watched the video, look at the pictures on the first slide. Can you see the pictures that begin with "s"? If you have a printer, you can cut out all the "s" pictures.

This is how we write a "s". We always start at the bottom - remember this for every letter!
